Ocean's Thirteen Reviews

Categories: Entertainment | Reviews | Movies
  • Ocean's Thirteen is a dramatic comedy about friends who come together to avenge one of their own against an oily hotel magnate played by Al Pacino. The cast from the first two Ocean's movies returns to Las Vegas and pulls a variety of cons, including causing an earthquake.

The nation's critics largely enjoyed the caper flick, especially the cinematography by director Steven Soderbergh, and the aplomb with which the all star cast pulls off the unbelievable plot twists. Rotten Tomatoes gives the film a pretty favorable 70% freshness rating.

  • Ocean's 13 Review Excerpts

    • "Part of what makes the "Ocean's" films, even the self-indulgent second installment, so enjoyable is that they're not only about Mr. Soderbergh's obsessive aesthetic investment in every single shot, but they're also about him trying to make the audience love his images every bit as much as he does." — The New York Times
    • "I know full well I'm expected to Suspend My Disbelief. Unfortunately, my disbelief is very heavy, and during "Ocean's Thirteen," the suspension cable snapped." — Roger Ebert
