- Seawater: Typically refers to the salinous water found in most of the world's oceans and seas
- Deep Sea: The layer of the ocean closest to the floor where very little to no light reaches
- Tide: The cyclical process of rise and fall of the ocean's surface caused by the gravitational pull of the Moon
- Marine Biology: The study of life that lives primarily in water
- Ocean Current: Streams of water that move within oceans due to gravity, weather and the Earth's rotation
