Oceanic Airlines is a fictional airline company used in several television shows and movies, most prominantly Lost. In that series, Oceanic Flight 815, flying from Sydney, Australia to Los Angeles, California, breaks apart mid-flight and crash-lands on the mysterious island which provides the setting for the show. A group of survivors of that plane crash who eventually returned home from the island came to be known as the "Oceanic 6".
The "official website" for Oceanic states that the airline has canceled all flights and was ceased operations due to financial difficulties. Several episodes of Lost, however, seem to contradict this information, implying that the airline remains operational.
