President-elect Barack Obama recently stated that he felt college football and the Bowl Championship Series should move to an eight-team playoff system. When asked on the November 3 edition of Monday Night Football what he'd change in sports, Obama responded "I think it's about time we had playoffs in college football. I'm fed up with these computer rankings and this that and the other. Get eight teams -- the top eight teams right at the end. You got a playoff. Decide on a national champion."ESPN.com: Chair of BCS committee not on board with Obama's playoff idea (November 11, 2008)
