How to Make Oatmeal Cookies
- Mix 1 and 1/2 cups flour and a teaspoon baking soda.
- Cream 1 cup unsalted room temperature butter with 1/2 cup sugar and 1 cup brown sugar. Add in 1 egg and a 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract.
- Add the flour mixture to the butter mixture a little at a time until it is combined.
- Add 1 and 1/2 cups oatmeal and a cup of raisins, a cup of chocolate chips, and a cup of pecans, or whatever additions are preferred. Mix until evenly combined.
- Drop spoonfuls of the dough onto a greased cookie sheet and bake in a 350 degree Fahrenheit oven for 8 to 10 minutes.
