History
NVIDIA was founded in 1993 by Jen-Hsun Huang and Curtis Priem and Chris Malachowsky from venture capital. In the beginning, NVIDIA had hopes of entering into the market to sell components. In the late 2000s, they acquired the assets of 3dfx. In 2008, NVIDIA acquired Ageia because of their physics accelerator technologies.Products
NVIDIA has many products that are currently on the market, including the NVIDIA GeForce and the nForce chipsets. NVIDIA does not currently sell graphics chips in the open market, instead they release their specifications and have other 3rd party developers and engineers distribute their product and pay royalties to use their name and specification.
