Nowhere Boy

Nowhere Boy is the title of an upcoming biopic which will focus on the early life and rise to fame of John Lennon. The screenplay is based on a book by Lennon's half-sister, Julia Baird, and will be directed by Sam Taylor-Wood.

Lennon was raised by his aunt Mimi. His mother, Julia, gave up custody of him when he was five years old. In 1958, Lennon's mother was killed by a drunk driver. The film will explore how these events shaped Lennon's life.Hollywood Reporter: John Lennon biopic comes together (August 29, 2008)
