  • Synopsis

    Nothing But the Truth is a film loosely inspired by the real-life Valerie Plame Affair. In the true life events, an undercover CIA agent was outed by a news story. In the film, Beckinsale plays Rachel Armstrong, a journalist who writes a story that outs a CIA agent. Her character refuses to reveal her source for the story, even after she faces tremendous pressure from her place of employment, her family and the legal system. Vera Farmiga plays Erica Van Doren, the outed CIA agent.
