Norwich Terrier's are among the smallest dogs in the terrier group and are often confused with the Norfolk Terrier.

Health Problems

The Norwich Terrier is considered a generally healthy breed. The norwich, like most purebreds, are susceptible to certain health problems. Those health issues include hip dysplasia,mitral valve disease,luxating patellas, and epilepsy. The norwich is also a small breed and like most small dogs have small litters. An average litter for the norwich is 1 to 3 puppies. The Norwich terrier has two coats, a soft undercoat and a wiry outer coat. Dogs with two coats require daily grooming and hand stripping.Wild Goose: Hand Stripping Stripping can be a taxing process, and should be considered when contemplating owning this type of breed.
