  • The Norwegian Sea is located between the North Sea and the Greenland Sea and is part of the Atlantic Ocean. It adjoins the Iceland Sea and the Barents Sea. The Norwegian Sea, Greenland Sea and Iceland Sea are known together as the Nordic Seas. Home to many varieties of fish, it is an important to Norway's economy. It also houses natural gas and oil reserves.

    It has been proposed as a storage site for carbon dioxide pollution. It is one main source of the North Atlantic deep water.
