  • Norv Turner is the head coach for the San Diego Chargers of the National Football League. Making his head coaching debut with the Washington Redskins, Turner has made contributions to many NFL organizations, including winning Super Bowls with the Dallas Cowboys in 1992 and 1993.

    Following the Chargers' 4-6 start to the 2008 season, many speculated that Turner would be fired as head coach.   • Brief Biography

    After finishing his college career with the Oregon Ducks, Norv Turner became the graduate assistant for his alma mater, before becoming an assistant at the University of Southern California. In 1985, Turner coached the wide receivers for the Los Angeles Rams. He later went on to become the offensive coordinator for the Cowboys where he was praised for molding Troy Aikman and creating a potent offense that won two Super Bowls in the early 1990s. As a head coach, Turner has gone 69-87 with two division championships.
