Writer and director Nora Ephron is a three-time Oscar nominee for Best Original Screenplay.
She wrote both When Harry Met Sally... and Sleepless in Seattle, the latter which she directed. Her most recent essay collection, I Feel Bad About My Neck, was released in 2006.
Deep Threat
Ephron was married to journalist Carl Bernstein in the late-1970s. They divorced after she discovered him having an affair with Labour Party politician Baroness Margaret Jay. She wrote a novel based on the incident, which was made into the film Heartburn, starring Meryl Streep and Jack Nicholson. She is now married to writer Nicholas Pileggi
Until the 2005 revelation, Ephron was one of the only people to know that W. Mark Felt was the true identity of "Deep Throat".
From Journalist to Screenwriter
Ephron helped rewrite a version of All The President's Men, which was not used to make the eventual film, but did help Ephron earn her first job, writing the television movie Perfect Gentlemen, starring Lauren Bacall.
