No Doubt is a ska/pop-punk band from southern California that helped to galvanize the mid-1990s ska revival, as well as launch the career of their lead singer and front woman Gwen Stefani. The band formed in 1986 and paid their dues by playing So-Cal clubs for years before finally hitting the mainstream with their 1995 album Tragic Kingdom - which featured the hit single "Just a Girl". After two more popular albums, the band went on a hiatus so that Stefani could pursue her solo career.
On May 6, 2009, No Doubt performed their hit single "Just a Girl on American Idol.
