  • No-bake desserts mainly refer to cakes, pies, and cookies that are made with ingredients that don't require baking. There are many other types of desserts that don't go near an oven, such ice cream- and fruit-based desserts.
  • Why a No-Bake Dessert?

No-bake desserts are often quicker to make than traditional ones. They also don't use an oven, which saves on gas or electricity and also keeps the kitchen cooler on hot days. No-bake desserts may require freezing or refrigeration, though, so plan ahead if you are taking one to a picnic or party.
