According to Randall, CBS claimed that they have to give equal time to each of the Presidential candidates and wearing the shirt violated the Fairness Doctrine.Stereogum: CBS Censors No Age's Obama Shirt (October 8, 2008)

The band ended up preforming, but Randall wore his shirt inside out with free health care written on it. According to Arthur Magazine editor Jay Babcock, the Fairness Doctrine was repealed in 1987 and Randall's shirt should not have been censored by the network.LAist: No Age Censored on Late Late Night (October 8, 2008) Stereogum: CBS Censors No Age's Obama Shirt (October 8, 2008)
