Nintendo is one of the largest producers of video games and consoles in the world. The company's popularity skyrocketed in 2006 after the release of their revolutionary gaming system, the Nintendo Wii.
On March 25, 2009, Nintendo President Satoru Iwata was a keynote speaker at the Game Developers Conference 2009 (GDC). During his speech he announced the Wii SD Card Channel and Virtual Channel arcade. He also announced the upcoming release of a new Zelda series game for the Nintendo DS, titled Legend of Zelda: Spirit Tracks.
