  • Introduction

    • Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2 is a redefined PS3 version of the Xbox 360's Ninja Gaiden II. This version features two additional playable characters: Ayane and Momiji (from Ninja Gaiden Dragon Sword, as well as five new bosses, an online co-op mode, Trophy support and a large amount of content. In addition, almost all of the gore has been removed from the game, e.g., purple mist instead of blood bursts from enemies, dismembered body parts vanish from the ground. Cutscenes also no longer include dismemberment, dissection, or blood effects.

    1. Start off watching a cutscene.
    2. The cutscene precedes a battle against Melee Ninja who uses mostly close range Kamikaze and Projectile Attacks.
    3. Take out the Melee Ninja with a standard katana, similar to the Dragon Sword, or the claw weapon, similar to the Falcon's Talons.
    4. Defeat the first set of Ninja to trigger another cutscene followed by a second Melee Ninja Battle.
    5. Defeat them.
    6. Head to the left side of the store.
    7. Find the container with the Herb of Spiritual Life.
    8. Turn around.
    9. Head left, past the store.
    10. Stop before the gate.
    11. Break the baskets to the left to reveal Yellow Essence.
    12. Continue through the gate.
    13. Proceed to the left down the stairs.
    14. Defeat the Ninja at the bottom of the stairs.
    15. Continue to the door at the end of the path with the Earth Statue to its left.
    16. Save your game and replenish your health.
    17. Continue through the door.
    18. Head to the left for another Ninja attack.
    19. Defeat the Ninja.
    20. Head back in the other direction.
    21. Climb the stairs on the right.
    22. Proceed across the bridge.
    23. Continue down the left and take the path.
    24. Turn right at the end of the path to trigger a cutscene.
    25. Descend downstairs for a Projectile Ninja battle after the cutscene.
    26. TIP: Projectile Ninja are similar to Melee Ninja, especially at close range with katana and kamikaze attacks. At a distance, however, they shoot flaming arrows. Use Reverse Wind or Flying Swallow to catch them once they are out of melee range.
    27. Head towards the platform where the Projectile Ninja is shooting exploding arrows.
    28. Return around the corner to take cover.
    29. Take out the Ninja on the ground.
    30. Continue to the second tree to the right of the path.
    31. Proceed to the far side of the tree.
    32. Scale the tree to access the platform.
    33. Continue across the platform towards the Projectile Ninja.
    34. Defeat him.
    35. Grab the Crystal Skull.
    36. Jump down.
    37. Descend the ladder to the right of the stairs.
    38. Open the container at the bottom for Blue Essence.
    39. Proceed down the hallway.
    40. Watch out for shuriken thrown by the Ninja above.
    41. As you pass under them, several Ninja appear to the rear.
    42. Take them out.
    43. Continue to the far end of the hall.
    44. Open the container for a Life of the Gods item.
    45. Return to the ladder.
    46. Climb it to the top.
    47. Fight the two Ninja ahead.
    48. Pole jump across to the next Ninja attack.
    49. Defeat them.
    50. Continue to the next pole jump.
    51. Save your game.
    52. Turn around.
    53. Locate the ladder in the opening to the left.
    54. Climb the ladder.
    55. Head to the right.
    56. Open the container for an Herb of Spiritual Life.
    57. Proceed in the opposite direction to the corpse.
    58. Examine the body for a Flying Swallow technique tutorial.
    59. Continue down the hallway to meet the next group of Ninja in the open area, including the first Ninpo Ninja.
    60. NOTE: Ninpo Ninja should be taken out before any other enemies in the area. They shoot flaming projectiles from long range and create a column of fire. As both attacks take time, they may teleport during fights to take the time necessary to execute these attacks. Use Flying Swallow to catch them when they try to escape.
    61. Defeat the Ninpo Ninja to trigger a cutscene.
    62. A mid-boss battle against a Giant Statue follows the cutscene.
      • Mid-Boss Battle: Giant Statue
    63. TIP: Make sure you have sufficient health for the battle.
    64. Use ninpo in the battle if you did not use it against the Ninpo Ninja.
    65. If you used up your Ninpo, stay on the far left side of the boss to avoid most of his close and long range attacks.
    66. TIP: When the Giant Statue pulls its hands close to its chest, this indicates an impending Light Pillar attack in which multiple vertical pillars of light sprout from the ground.
    67. TIP: When both hands rotate in a large circle with a giant light behind it, prepare for Flame Beam attack in which a trail of flame follows a red beam. Stay away from the path of the beam.
    68. Reverse Wind Techniques are used to avoid most of its attacks.
    69. NOTE: The end of the mid-boss battle is followed by the large doors opening to reveal a statue.
    70. Examine the statue to receive the Lunar Staff weapon.
    71. Save your game at the point on the right.
    72. Head to the opposite side of the room.
    73. Find the container with Red Essence.
    74. Exit the room.
    75. Head right.
    76. Proceed down the stairs onthe left.
    77. Examine the corpse at the bottom of the stairs for an Ultimate Technique tutorial.
    78. Make your way across the bridge to a group of Fiends.
    79. Defeat them.
    80. Continue across the bridge.
    81. Examine the corpse with the Ninja Notebook entry on the Obliteration Technique.
    82. Proceed into the building across the way.
    83. Examine the corpse in the building for an explanation of the Ultimate Guidance Technique.
    84. Proceed to the scroll to the right of the corpse.
    85. Attack it to remove it from the wall.
    86. Enter the hidden room.
    87. Break the barrles and basket.
    88. Continue to the far end.
    89. Find the Grains of Spiritual Life item in the container.
    90. Exit the room into the open area to fight another group of Ninja.
    91. Use the Yellow Essence released by the containers lining the outer edges to execute the Ultimate Technique 2 and take out the enemies.
    92. Proceed to the center of the building.
    93. Find the container with Yellow Essence.
    94. Make your way to the left.
    95. Be prepared for a group of Ninja break down the wall and attack.
    96. Defeat them.
    97. Continue through the opening they created.
    98. Take a right.
    99. Continue down the hallway to the open area on the left.
    100. Fight more Ninja to gain access to the Muramasa Shop.
    101. Jump down the hole to the right of the shop.
    102. Dispose of the Bats.
    103. Head through the door at the bottom.
    104. Examine the corpse for a Ninja Notebook entry on Shadowless Footsteps.
    105. Make your way down th erailed path until you come to two Ninja.
    106. Defeat them.
    107. Move down to the lower section.
    108. Find the container with the Herb of Spiritual Life.
    109. Return to the upper section.
    110. Use Shadowless Footsteps to cross the opening.
    111. Proceed to the end of the path.
    112. Find the container with another Herb of Spiritual Life.
    113. Return to the opening on the left side of the path.
    114. Drop down.
    115. Examine the corpse on the right for a Ninja Notebook entry for Furious Wind.
    116. Proceed along the path until Ninja attack from both directions.
    117. Take them out and continue to travel the path to trigger a cutscene.
    118. Be prepared for another Ninja attack as soon as the cutscene ends.
    119. Defeat the Ninja.
    120. Access the save point and save your game.
    121. Make your way to the opposite corner.
    122. Slice open the potted plant to obtain more Yellow Essence.
    123. Continue left into the open area.
    124. Keep going left to the stairs.
    125. Descend the staircase to the container at the bottom.
    126. Open the container for a Devil's Way Mushroom.
    127. Continue up the stairs to the fourth floor.
    128. Use the Flying Swallow Technique at the top of the stairs in preparation for the Ninja waiting for you.
    129. Defeat the Ninja.
    130. Break open the plants on either side of the elevators for more Yellow Essence.
    131. Return to the stairs.
    132. Continue to the top to find another container.
    133. Open the container for another Herb of Spiritual Life.
    134. Go back down two flights of stairs to the open room with the elevators.
    135. Head to the right of the elevators.
    136. Enter the door on the left of the hallway.
    137. Examine the corpse to find the Ninja Notebook entry for the Flying Bird.
    138. Climb the ladder on the left side of the room to the small corridor.
    139. Head to the end of the corridor.
    140. Use the Flying Bird Technique to scale the wall to the top.
    141. Be prepared for more Ninja to attack from the left.
    142. Defeat them.
    143. Move to the other side of the room.
    144. Find another item-only Muramasa Shop.
    145. Stock up on any health items in preparation for the upcoming boss battle.
    146. Head to the left of the shop.
    147. Open the container for a Grains of Spiritual Life item.
    148. Proceed to the opposite side of the room.
    149. Go through the opening in the wall and locate the save point.
    150. Save your game.
    151. Continue to climb the stairs on the right.
    152. Make your way to the top of the stairs to face another group of Ninja.
    153. Defeat them.
    154. Head through the door on the far side of the room to view another cutscene.
    155. The boss fight against the Shadow Ninja Rasetsu begins immediately after the cutscene.
      • Boss Battle: Shadow Ninja Rasetsu
    156. Rely on close range combat to take out the Shadow Ninja.
    157. Stay close so he cannot use his Wind Projectile technique.
    158. TIP: Roaring slightly restores his health gauge.
    159. Use the WInd Run to avoid his long range attacks and Wind Projectile technique.
    160. Continue to dodge his attacks as much as possible.
    161. When he reaches about 20 percent of his health, he falls to his knee to rest for a moment.
    162. Take him out with an Obliteration Technique.
    163. The end of this fight immediately triggers a second fight with the Giant Statue.
      • Boss Battle: Giant Statue
    164. TIP: The Giant Statue uses all of the same attacks as before, but with additional health and a new throw attack.
    165. Again move to the far left side to avoid most of his hand attacks.
    166. If either hand reaches back, move to the foreground to avoid the Hand Throw.
    167. Again use Reverse Wind technique to avoid the Light Pillar and Flaming attacks.
    168. Use Strong Attack combo once either hand is motionless.
    169. Once he reaches 50 percent health, his head drops.
    170. Attack it immediately with the Strong Attack combo.
    171. Once all of his health is depleted, take him out with an Obliteration technique.

  • Chapter 2: The Castle of the Dragon

    • Crystal Skulls: 2
    • Weapons: Falcon's Talons
    • Techniques: Counterattack
    • New Enemies: Ninja Dog
    • Boss: Genshin
    1. Start off watching a cutscene.
    2. Head straight to the corpse after it ends.
    3. Find the Ninja Notebook entry for the Flying Swallow.
    4. Turn right after reading the entry.
    5. Meet and fight the group of Melee Ninja.
    6. Defeat them.
    7. Continue down the path.
    8. Head left to go down the stairs.
    9. Enter the open area.
    10. Look to the right for your first glimpse of Ninja Dogs.
    11. TIP: Ninja Dogs attack quickly. Stay on the move and use the Dragon Sword or Falcon's Talons to match their speed. Focus on one at a time until he has been defeated. Then move on to the next. Use quick less powerful attacks. You won't have time to spend on the longer execution times required by strong attacks.
    12. Defeat the first Ninja Dog.
    13. Be ready for two more to appear as soon as he is taken care of.
    14. Defeat them.
    15. Access the blue light Muramasa Shop in the corner.
    16. Upgrade your Dragon Sword.
    17. Purchase any necessary supplies.
    18. Exit through the door and onto the bridge for a battle with a horde of Fiends.
    19. Defeat the Fiends.
    20. Proceed to the edge of the bridge.
    21. Find the container to the left before the next door.
    22. Open the container for another Life of the Gods item.
    23. Return the way you came.
    24. Pass the Muramasa shop.
    25. Head to the opposite end of the open area.
    26. Locate the corpse.
    27. Access the Ninja Notebook entry for Reverse Wind.
    28. Continue past the corpse.
    29. Head to the left for another Ninja battle.
    30. Find the next corpse after you defeat the enemies.
    31. Retrieve the Herb of Spiritual Life.
    32. Continue past the corpse.
    33. Go down the stairs on the left into the water.
    34. Find the Crystal Skull under the water to the left of the stairs.
    35. Leave the Skull for now.
    36. Run along the far left edge of the water to dodge Projectile Ninja attacks.
    37. Take him out with the Flying Swallow.
    38. Dive back down to retrieve the Skull.
    39. Return to the platform where you fought the Projectile Ninja.
    40. Continue up the path for a Ninja Dog battle.
    41. Defeat them.
    42. Proceed into the next open area.
    43. Examine the corpse on the ground for a tutorial on Counterattack Techniques.
    44. Access the save point in the corner.
    45. Head upstairs to the left.
    46. Proceed down the hallway.
    47. Take out the Projectile Ninja at the end of the hallway by jumping over the group of Ninja.
    48. Defeat them after you take him out.
    49. Turn right at the end of the hall.
    50. Enter the building to the right.
    51. Access the container on the right for an Herb of Spiritual Life.
    52. Continue to the end of the building.
    53. Find the small section with the Falcon's Talons.
    54. Pick up the new weapon.
    55. Continue towards the door.
    56. Fight the group of Ninja waiting there.
    57. Return through the door you entered.
    58. Go into the open area to battle more Ninja.
    59. Take out the Ninpo Ninja first.
    60. Kill all of the enemies.
    61. Check out the corpse in the center of the area for the Ninja Notebook entry on Ultimate Guidance.
    62. Proceed in the direction the Ninja attacked from.
    63. Look at the corpse just beyond the open area.
    64. Learn about the Izuna Drop combo.
    65. Follow the stairs to the next two Ninja.
    66. Take them out.
    67. Head to the guard tower.
    68. Use the Flying Bird Technique to jump the wall.
    69. Take out the Projectile Ninja.
    70. Jump to the opposite guard tower.
    71. Find the container with the Herb of Spiritual Life.
    72. Continue down the path.
    73. Run back around the corner to avoid the Projectile Ninja at the end.
    74. Take out the Melee Ninja.
    75. Use the Flying Bird Technique to scale the guard tower wall at the end of the path.
    76. Take out the Projectile Ninja.
    77. Continue down the path.
    78. Climb the stairs on the left.
    79. Defeat the Ninja at the top of the first flight of stairs.
    80. Get to the save point and save your game.
    81. Take the stairs to the left of the save point.
    82. Find the next Muramasa Shop.
    83. Pass through the doorway.
    84. Turn right at the top of the stairs.
    85. Continue moving to avoid the Projectile Ninja.
    86. Examine the corpse to learn about the Guillotine Throw.
    87. Head into the small corridor after the doorway on the left.
    88. Continue to the end of the corridor.
    89. Find the container at the end with an Herb of Spiritual Life.
    90. Exit the corridor.
    91. Head up the stairs.
    92. Defeat the Ninja Dogs and Melee Ninja at the top of the stairs.
    93. Examine the corpse in the entry.
    94. Find the Notebook entry for the Ultimate Technique.
    95. Head over to the flaming pile of wooden planks.
    96. Climb the planks up to the roof.
    97. Fight two more Fiends and another Ninpo Ninja.
    98. TIP: Don't get near the edge of the roof. If you fall, the Fiends respawn when you climb back up.
    99. Jump through the flaming hole in the roof after you defeat this group of Ninja.
    100. Get ready for another attack as you land.
    101. Take out the Projectile Ninja at the far end of the hallway first.
    102. Finish off the Melee Ninja.
    103. Save your game at the save point at the far end of the hallway.
    104. Continue to the opposite end of the hall.
    105. Get the Fiend's Bane Bow to the left of the stairs.
    106. Walk upstairs.
    107. Continue to the end of the hall.
    108. Drop into the room below.
    109. Stand so you can see both windows.
    110. Face the Projectile Ninja in the windows and shoot the Fiend's Bane Bow to take them out.
    111. Shoot the next Projectile Ninja that appears in the other window.
    112. Continue doing this until all of the Projectile Ninja have been defeated.
    113. The Shadow Ninja Rasetsu appears once they are all defeated.
    114. Use the same strategies as your earlier fight with the upgraded Dragon Sword to make the fight easier.
    115. After defeating the Shadow Ninja, go out the small wooden gate.
    116. Continue right down the hallway.
    117. Find the container with the Devil's Way Mushroom.
    118. Return to the opposite end of the hallway.
    119. Examine the corpse under the stairs for a Grains of Spiritual Life item.
    120. Head upstairs.
    121. Continue right to the wall.
    122. More Ninja break through the wall to attack as you approach.
    123. Defeat the Ninja.
    124. Move forward.
    125. Cut down the wall to the right to open the staircase and a save point.
    126. A Ninja drops down to attack as you approach the save point.
    127. Take him out.
    128. Save your progress.
    129. Head up the stairs.
    130. Slice open the wall on the right at the top of the stairs.
    131. Use Unrivaled Soaring to head to the balcony on the left.
    132. Defeat the Projectile Ninja that attacks from the adjacent room.
    133. Then take out the remaining Ninja.
    134. Keep an eye on the Projectile Ninja on the opposite side of the area and shoot arrows at him when you can.
    135. Stay away from the balcony to avoid being knocked over.
    136. Once all are defeated, cut open the wall at the opposite end.
    137. Continue through to find the corpse for a Devil's Way Mushroom item.
    138. Jump over the wooden panel in the floor to continue into the next room.
    139. Make your way to the wooden shelf with a Crystal Skull.
    140. Pick up the Skull.
    141. Slice open the wall at the end of the room.
    142. Take out any remaining Ninja with your arrows.
    143. Head back to the balcony where you started.
    144. Jump onto the platform.
    145. Continue into the Dragon's Mouth.
    146. Head right.
    147. Save progress at the save point.
    148. Proceed to the container at the opposite end of the hall.
    149. Find the Devil's Way Mushroom item.
    150. Go through the hole in the middle of the wall.
    151. Exit onto the rooftop.
    152. Use the Flying Swallow technique to thin the group of Ninpo Ninja.
    153. Finish them off.
    154. Head to the left up the inclined roof.
    155. Go through the window at the top.
    156. Enter the window and meet the Projectile Ninja attacking from the opposite side of the room.
    157. Head around the balcony to their position to avoid their attacks.
    158. Take them out.
    159. Go to the far corner of the room.
    160. Retrieve the Lives of the Thousand Gods item from the container.
    161. Drop down the hole to the right.
    162. Head into the yellow light Muramasa Shop to replenish your items.
    163. Head to the opposite end of the hallway for a save point.
    164. Continue back up the ladder into the room you left.
    165. Go to the other side of the room.
    166. Climb the stairs for more Ninja battle.
    167. Take a left at the top of the stairs.
    168. Examine the corpse for a Life of the Gods item.
    169. Proceed back towards the stairs to the left wall.
    170. Open the door around the corner to trigger a cutscene.
    171. The Genshin boss battle immediately follows.
      • Boss Battle: Genshin
    172. NOTE: Genshin uses a technique similar to the Ultimate Technique as well as Piercing Void ninpo.
    173. TIP: Use your upgraded Dragon Sword and stay close to Genshin to fight at close range.
    174. Use the Reverse Wind Technique if he executes the Ultimate Technique.
    175. Focus on using the Undefeatable Demon combo's sequence of three strong attacks, and the Izuna Drop's combo of quick attack, strong attack, quick attack, quick attack, quick attack, strong attack as your primary moves.
    176. Do not use the Flying Swallow or other aerial attacks. They are too risky.
    177. You also will not be able to use the Obliteration Technique against him.

  • Chapter 3: Thunderclap of Catastrophe

    1. Watch the opening cutscene.
    2. Head to the right.
    3. Find the container with the Herb of Spiritual Life.
    4. Return back to the direction you came from.
    5. TIP: There are two types of Bats you will battle: basic bats and larger bats. Take out basic Bats with standard Shurikens from a distance. You can also use the Dragon Sword or Kusari-gama at close range. Start throwing Shurikens as soon as you hear them approach to determine their location. Larger Bats are the same, but inflict more damage. Use Flying Swallow to take them out and prevent their attacks.
    6. Defeat the Ninja Dogs and Bats that attack.
    7. Turn right to access the yellow-light Muramasa Shop further down the street to the right.
    8. Continue down the street.
    9. Turn right at the first intersection.
    10. Find the container with Red Essence at the end of the street.
    11. More Bats attack as you approach the container.
    12. Take out the Bats.
    13. Head in the opposite direction.
    14. Go past the intersection.
    15. Proceed past the burning car.
    16. Find the Vigoorian Flail in the container.
    17. Continue into the hallway on the right.
    18. Focus on the Projectile Ninja that attacks.
    19. Finish off the remaining Melee Ninjas.
    20. Turn right.
    21. Proceed to the end of the corridor.
    22. Find the container with Blue Essence.
    23. Turn around.
    24. Head upstairs.
    25. Two Projectile Ninja attack from the far right just as you reach the top.
    26. Use the Azure Swallow to take out the first Projectile Ninja.
    27. Use Fiend's Bane Bow to take out the second.
    28. Return to the stairs.
    29. Go up another flight for a Crystal Skull at the top of the stairs.
    30. Get the Skull.
    31. Return to the opposite end.
    32. Continue right into the next hallway.
    33. Go to the end of the hall.
    34. Take out the Melee and Ninpo Ninja.
    35. Save your game at the save point at the end of the hallway.
    36. Use the Flying Bird Technique to scale the wall to the left of the save point.
    37. Get ready for a Ninpo Ninja attack, followed by Flying Demons.
    38. TIP: Flying Demons shoot fireballs from a distance. They usually attack in groups.
    39. Defeat the Ninpo Ninja.
    40. Use a single jump followed by a single shot from the Fiend's Bane Bow to take out the demons.
    41. NOTE: The jump makes it easier to face the demons and aim, as well as making it more difficult to be their fireball target.
    42. The demons will eventually head left to the cable that runs from one building to the next.
    43. Head to the ladder on the right when they do this.
    44. Climb down to the platform below.
    45. Head right.
    46. Use Shadowless Footsteps to get to the next platform.
    47. Pick up the Devil's Way Mushroom item from the container.
    48. Drop down to street level.
    49. Fight the Projectile Ninja and group of Melee Ninja on the street.
    50. Once they are defeated, continue down the street to the end.
    51. Find the container with the Grains of Spiritual Life item.
    52. Return to the vertical corridor on the right.
    53. Use the Flying Bird to return to the upper platform.
    54. Move back to the previous platform.
    55. Climb the ladder back to the roof.
    56. Take the cable to the next building.
    57. Drop down when you get to the other side.
    58. Jump down to the platform below to avoid the Projectile Ninja.
    59. Take them out first.
    60. Take out the remaining enemies.
    61. Save game at the save point in the corner.
    62. Head to the left of the save point.
    63. Find the container at the end of the platform.
    64. Get the Herb of Spiritual Life.
    65. Turn around.
    66. Jump off the platform at the opening in the guard rail.
    67. Take out the Melee Ninja.
    68. Head to the left of the Police Department.
    69. Find the container with the Herb of Spiritual Life.
    70. Continue right.
    71. Take a right just past the building.
    72. Continue down the side street on the left.
    73. Find the corpse with the first part of the story of the Four Greater Fiends.
    74. Take out the Ninja Dogs that pop up as you approach the corpse.
    75. Examine the corpse.
    76. Turn around.
    77. Continue to the right.
    78. Proceed down the street.
    79. Make your way to the corner.
    80. Find the container to the far left.
    81. Get the Art of the Flame Phoenix ninpo from the container.
    82. Head towards the car to the right to trigger a cutscene.
    83. Immediately after the cutscene, you meet your first Demon Spawn.

    202. Examine the corpse to learn about the Technique of the Invisible Path.

    204. Use Invisible Path along the right wall to get to the yellow light Muramasa Shop.
    205. Stock up on supplies.
    206. Leave the shop.
    207. Head right to fight the Melee Ninja and Projectile Ninja.
    208. Continue forward.
    209. Be careful not to fall as you approach the Earth Statue.
    210. Save your game.
    211. Use Shadowless Footsteps on the right wall to get to the container.
    212. Retrieve the Life of the Gods item from it.
    213. Return to the Earth Statue.
    214. Continue left.
    215. Jump down into the tunnel.
    216. Head right.
    217. Ignore the Melee Ninja.
    218. Continue to the far end of the tunnel.
    219. Take out the Projectile Ninja.
    220. Defeat any remaining enemies.
    221. Use Shadowless Footsteps on the subway car to the right.
    222. Get to the main car.
    223. Continue left to the end of the subway car.
    224. Drop down.
    225. Head to the end of the tunnel.
    226. Take out the Demon Spawn to trigger a cutscene followed by the boss battle.
      • Boss Battle: GigaDeath
    227. TIP: Do not touch GigaDeath or you will sustain damage.
    228. Go into first person view as soon as the battle begins.
    229. Use the Fiend's Bane Bow and Lunar Staff to fight him.
    230. Dodge the fireballs as he moves from one end of the tunnel to the other, shooting the fireballs from his head.
    231. Use Reverse Wind Technique to avoid his attacks.
    232. Stay behind him to avoid fireballs completely.
    233. During the battle, GigaDeath spawns smaller versions of himself: Mini-Deaths.
    234. Take them out with Art of Inferno nonpo magic or a Bladed Spider combo.
    235. Once GigaDeath reaches 50% health, he will begin to pause and shake. This indicates he is getting ready to use the Face of Death attack. Once he starts pausing and shaking, get behind him quickly.
    236. Once he stops moving and hunches over, this means his health is low.
    237. Run up to his head.
    238. Finish him off with an Obliteration Technique.

  • Chapter 4: A Captive Goddess

    1. Watch the opening cutscene.
    2. Switch to the Dragon Sword.

    6. Upgrade the Falcon's Talons and restock supplies.
    7. Proceed down the tunnel.
    8. Defeat the Melee Ninja.
    9. Drop down the hole at the end of the tunnel.
    10. Jump to avoid the initial attack of the Projectile Ninja.
    11. Use mid-air shots from Fiend's Bane Bow to take them out.
    12. Finish off the Projectile Ninja.
    13. Take out the Melee Ninja remaining.
    14. Continue down the next tunnel.
    15. Get to the gap between the two subway cars.
    16. Open the container to the left for an Art of the Wind Blades ninpo.
    17. Proceed down the tunnel.
    18. Get to the end of the subway car.
    19. Take out the Melee Ninja.
    20. Head to the right.
    21. Find the container at the end of the subway car for some Red Essence.
    22. Continue to the open area.
    23. Defeat the Demon Spawn.
    24. Moce to the left side.
    25. Find the exit.
    26. Climb the stairs.
    27. Head to the save point.
    28. Save game.
    29. Continue up the next flight of stairs.
    30. Take out the Ninpo Ninja.
    31. Finish off the Melee Ninja.
    32. Head through the door on the opposite wall.
    33. Find the container at the end of the room.
    34. Get the Herb of Spiritual Life from the container.
    35. Go back through the door.
    36. Head to the area on the right.
    37. Find another container with another Herb of Spiritual Life.
    38. Proceed to the opposite side of the area.
    39. Go through the opening on the right.
    40. Immediately head to the left.
    41. Find the container at the opposite end of the hall for a Devil's Way Mushroom item.
    42. Return the way you came.
    43. Take out the two Projectile Ninja.
    44. Move up the stairs on the left.
    45. Destroy the gate and barrels at the top of the stairs that block your path.
    46. Defeat the two Ninjas that attack.
    47. Continue up the stairs to street level.
    48. Proceed down the alley.
    49. Take out the two Melee Ninjas that attack.
    50. Take the first left.
    51. Turn right at the lamp post at the end of the alley.
    52. Get the Herb of Spiritual Life from the corpse.
    53. Leave the narrow alley.
    54. Continue right.
    55. Turn the corner to the left.
    56. Stop and turn around to face the direction you came from.
    57. Find the Crystal Skull on the catwalk above on the right.
    58. Use Unrivaled Soaring to scale the wall on the left and get to the catwalk.
    59. Grab the Crystal Skull.
    60. Continue around the corner.
    61. Leave the alley and turn right.
    62. Make another right.
    63. Head down the next street.
    64. Defeat the Melee Ninja.
    65. Make your way to the red barrels at the end of the street.
    66. Find the container behind the barrels.
    67. Get the Red Essence from the container.
    68. Return in the direction you came from.
    69. Find the save point on the right and save your progress.
    70. Climb the ladder on the left to the top.
    71. Examine the corpse on the left for a Jewel of the Demon Seal item.
    72. Continue down the street.
    73. Find the opening in the railing on the right.
    74. Proceed through the opening.
    75. Head to the right.
    76. Stop as soon as you see the Demon Spawn.
    77. Wait for the Demon Spawn to approach.
    78. When it is close enough, take it out with the Azure Swallow or Undefeatable Demon combo.
    79. Use Fiend's Bane Bow as soon as it is defeated to take down the Flying Demon.
    80. Attacks will continue from both Demon Spawn and Flying Demons.
    81. Take them all out in the same way.
    82. Head to the end of the street.
    83. Find the container with the Herb of Spiritual Life.
    84. Turn around.
    85. Move to the opening in the fence.
    86. Across from the opening is a Crystal Skull.
    87. Jump across.
    88. Grab the Skull.
    89. Drop down to the street.
    90. Head around the corner.
    91. Get to the container at the end of the street.
    92. Retrieve the Life of the Gods item from the container.
    93. Turn around.
    94. Find the yellow light Muramasa Shop.
    95. Replenish supplies.
    96. Return the way you came.
    97. Kill the Demon Spawn.
    98. Continue to the right.
    99. Go around the corner.
    100. Use the small opening to the right to climb to the top of the area with the Flying Bird Technique.
    101. Continue to the opening on the left.
    102. Take out the Demon Spawn.
    103. Continue down the street to the ladder on the left.
    104. Climb the ladder.
    105. Go to the Earth Statue at the top of the bridge.
    106. Save your game.
    107. Use the Fiend's Bane Bow to take out the Flying Demons.
    108. Open the container at the end of the bridge.
    109. Get the Grains of Spiritual Life item.
    110. Continue back inthe opposite direction.
    111. Proceed to make your way to the end of the bridge.
    112. Use your bow to take out the Flying Demons.
    113. Get to the end of the bridge to trigger a cutscene followed by a mid-boss battle.
      • Mid-Boss Battle: Giant Brute Fiend
    114. TIP: This boss attacks by swinging his arms and slamming them to the ground to perform an Earthquake Slam at close range. He also blasts you with Wind Breath and Projectile Attacks from long range.
    115. Keep your guard up.
    116. Use Reverse Wind to dodge the Earthquake Slam and swinging arms, as well as objects he throws.
    117. Do not use projectile attacks. They don't work.
    118. Attack the leg furthest back with any Strong Attack combo.
    119. Keep moving to dodge his attacks.
    120. Repeat this process until it is at about 20% health and drops its head to the ground.
    121. Run up to its head.
    122. Finish him off with an Obliteration Technique.
    123. Defeat him to trigger another cutscene followed by several Demon Spawn and Flying Demon attacks.
    124. Ignore the Spawn and focus on the Demons first.
    125. Once all are taken out, head to the building.
    126. Enter through the opening.
    127. Make your way to the Earth Statue in the next room.
    128. Break the glass in front of the statue.
    129. Save your game.
    130. Go to the other side of the room.
    131. Break the glass in front of the large weapon.
    132. Examine the weapon.
    133. Obtain Enma's Fang.
    134. Break the glass to the left of Enma's Fang.
    135. Examine the scroll for a Vigoor Mythology book.
    136. Continue through the door to the left.
    137. Go around the first corner.
    138. Take the second corner.
    139. Use Shadowless Footsteps on the right wall followed by the Flying Swallow to start on the two Projectile Ninja at the end of the hall.
    140. Take them both out.
    141. Continue through the door at the end of the hall.
    142. Face off against more Ninja.
    143. Take them out.
    144. Head upstairs and to the right.
    145. Use Unrivaled Soaring to cross the gap in the floor.
    146. Get to the corpse with the Devil's Way Mushroom item.

    149. Head left at the top.

    157. Fight off more Demon Spawn.
    158. Face the window.
    159. Head to the left side of the area.
    160. Before the stairs on the right is a container.
    161. Get the Herb of Spiritual Life.
    162. Go to the opposite side of the area.
    163. Move up to the top of the stairs.
    164. Take out the Demon Spawn.
    165. Climb the stairs on the right and the next set on the left.
    166. Head to the left side of the building.
    167. Take out the Flying Demons.
    168. Head into the entrance on this side of the building.
    169. Take out the Projectile Ninja.
    170. Head into the opening opposite the entrance.
    171. Find the container with the Lives of the Thousand Gods item.
    172. Climb the stairs.
    173. Find the save point and save your game.
    174. Jump from the Earth Statue over the railing to the beams that span the room.
    175. Proceed to the far right corner.
    176. Jump down to the beam along the right wall.
    177. Find the Crystal Skull.
    178. Head upstairs to the next level.
    179. Take out the Melee Ninja.
    180. Exit through the open door.
    181. Use your Fiend's Bane Bwo to take out the Flying Demons.
    182. Find the container to the right.
    183. Pick up the Life of the Gods item.
    184. Go back inside.
    185. Continue upstairs.
    186. Get to the yellow light Muramasa Shop on the left.
    187. Restock your supplies.
    188. Leave the shop.
    189. Continue left to the corpse.
    190. Get the Grains of Spiritual Life item.
    191. Go to the middle of the room.
    192. Head upstairs.
    193. Get to the hole on the right side of the stairs.
    194. Jump out.
    195. Use the Flying Bird Technique to scale the wall and get to the next level.
    196. Find the corpse.
    197. Get the second part of the Four Greater Fiends book.
    198. Head upstairs in the center of the room.
    199. Get to the top to trigger a cutscene follwed by the Alexei boss battle.
      • Boss Battle: Alexei
    200. TIP: Alexi is not presently at full power. While his melee combos are strong, stay close to Alexi to prevent him from using his powerful lightning projectile attack, the Lightning Strike, as well as his Whirlwind Spin and Long Range Throw.
    201. Immediately dodge Alexi's first attack as soon as the cutscene finishes.
    202. Rush towards him to get as close as possible and stay within range of the Dragon Sword's attack range to preven long range attacks.
    203. Keep using Wind Run to avoid him and Strong Attack combos to damage him until he is defeated.
    204. TIP: It is important to stay on the move while attacking to avoid his attacks.
    205. A cutscene is triggered once Alexi is defeated, immediately followed by a boss battle with the Statue of Liberty.
      • Boss Battle: Statue of Liberty
    206. TIP: This battle is very similar to the earlier battle with the Giant Statue.
    207. Stay on the far left to avoid Hand Sweep attacks.
    208. Block the Handslam and ground lightning it generates.
    209. Wait for the hand attack to stop.
    210. Use a combo on the hand when it stops moving.
    211. Use Reverse Wind to move to the opposite hand.
    212. Stay at close range to avoid long range attacks.
    213. Keep attacking until the Statue reaches 50% health. It will then drop its head and stop attacking temporarily.
    214. Once this happens, switch to first person view to auto aim the Fiend's Bane Bow at its head and attack quickly.
    215. After it bows its head again, move towards the head and use the Obliteration Technique to finish it off.

  • Chapter 5: The Shrine Maiden's Battle

    • Boss: Tengu Brothers
    1. Cross the bridge after the cutscene ends.
    2. Take out the Melee Ninja.
    3. Continue across the bridge to the next group of Melee Ninja with a Projectile Ninja.
    4. Climb the stairs.
    5. Take out the Projectile Ninja.
    6. Finish off the remaining Melee Ninja.
    7. Open the container at the bottom of the stairs.
    8. Get the Grains of Spiritual Life item.
    9. Continue upstairs.
    10. Head through the gate.
    11. Proceed through the open area.
    12. Take on the Melee and Projectile Ninja and finish them off.
    13. Continue to the next group of Melee Ninja with some Ninpo Ninja.
    14. Proceed to the far left corner of the area.
    15. Find the container.
    16. Get the Herb of Spiritual Life.
    17. TIP: You can use this during your Ninja battle or save for the mid-boss battle if you need more healing items.
    18. NOTE: Once all of the Ninja are defeated, one of the Tengu Brothers shows up for a mid-boss battle.
      • Mid-Boss Battle: Tengu Brother
    19. TIP: This Tengu Brother uses a multiple kunai projectile attack from a distance and a stomping attack that can be used at either close or long distance.
    20. Stay close.
    21. Use Reverse Wind Technique to avoid his attacks.
    22. Wait for him to finish a combo.
    23. Retaliate with one of your own.
    24. Once you get his health down to 50%, he teleports away.
    25. When he is gone, continue down the path to the Earth Statue.
    26. Save your game.
    27. Head right up the stairs.
    28. Take out the Demon Spawn that attack in this next area.
    29. Find the container in the room.
    30. Get the Herb of Spiritual Life.
    31. Proceed through the hole in the wall.
    32. Finish off the Projectile and Melee Ninja on the other side.
    33. Continue right.
    34. Find the small balcony to your left.
    35. Head to the corner.
    36. Open the container with the Grains of Spiritual Life item.
    37. Return back in the direction you started from.
    38. Head right down the waterway.
    39. Climb the stairs on the left.
    40. Take out the Ninpo and Melee Ninja.
    41. Cross the bridge.
    42. Proceed left.
    43. Find the container on the right side of the path.
    44. Get the Devil's Way Mushroom.
    45. Return back across the bridge.
    46. Follow the path to the next set of Melee Ninja.
    47. Take them out.
    48. Continue along the path.
    49. Take out the next group of Melee Ninja.
    50. Go to the Earth Statue.
    51. Save your game.
    52. Proceed to the next group of Melee and Projectile Ninja.
    53. Take them out as well as the next group of Melee and Ninpo Ninja.
    54. Once they are defeated, face off against the Demon Spawn.
    55. Immedately after the Demon Spawn battle, you face off in a boss battle against both Tengu Brothers.
      • Boss Battle: Tengu Brothers
    56. NOTE: This battle is very similar to the last, except that you are now fighting both brothers.
    57. TIP: Move away quickly with a single jump if either brother begins spinning in a circle to avoid the Whirlwind Spin.
    58. Focus on the blue brother first.
    59. Stay close to prevent his use of projectile attacks.
    60. Use Reverse Wind Technique to avoid combos and unblockable throws.
    61. When he stops using combos, attack with Momihi's Dancing Maple combo.
    62. Once the blue brother is defeated, pick up the Blue Essence.
    63. Close in on the second brother to avoid long range attacks.
    64. Continue to follow the same strategy that you used against the first brother until this second one is defeated.

  • Chapter 6: The Aqua Captal

    • Crystal Skulls: 3
    • Items: Spirit of the Devils Talisman of Rebirth
    • Ninpo: Art of the Piercing Void
    • Weapons: Dragon's Claw and Tiger's Fang, Howling Cannon
    • Enemies: Beastmen, Half-Dragon Demons, Undead Fish, Water Demons
    • Boss: Water Dragon
    1. Proceed forward.
    2. Head to the right before the stairs.
    3. Locate the blue light Muramasa Shop.
    4. Upgrade Enma's Fang.
    5. Wait until later to restock supplies.
    6. Head up the stairs.
    7. Proceed forward.
    8. Pass the bridge.
    9. Continue left around the corner.
    10. Go down the stairs.
    11. Continue down the next flight of stairs.
    12. Head left across the water.
    13. Continue right down the path.
    14. Make a left at the end of the path.
    15. Continue to follow the path to the end.
    16. Find the container with Red Essence next to the boat.
    17. Cross the water to the right.
    18. Head to the boat on the opposite side.
    19. Get the Crystal Skull.
    20. Return back the way you came to the blue light Muramasa Shop.
    21. NOTE: After finding the Crystal Skull, their merchandise is cheaper.
    22. Restock if necessary.
    23. Return to the bridge to fight several Beastmen and one Half Dragon Demon.
    24. NOTE: The Half Dragon Demon is an upgrade to the Demon Spawn with identical abilities, except they shoot three fireballs instead of two. They also fly instead of using the long range throw.
    25. Switch to Enma's Fang for this fight.
    26. Use the Flying Swallow to take out the Half Dragon Demon.
    27. You may also use Falcon's Talons to take out Beastmen.
    28. Stay close to them to avoid their long-range throw and use Reverse Wind against their counterattack.
    29. Reverse Wind is also helpful to avoid the Half Dragon Demon attacks.
    30. Once they are taken out, continue across the bridge for another Beastmen attack.
    31. Take out the Beastmen.
    32. Proceed down the street.
    33. Break all of the barrels and crates for Yellow Essence.
    34. Turn left at the end of the street.
    35. Proceed to the Earth Statue.
    36. Examine the corpse for the Dragon's Claw and Tiger's Fang.
    37. Save your game at the Earth Statue.
    38. Head to the left of the statue.
    39. Climb the stairs.
    40. Go through the door.
    41. Take out the Beastmen.
    42. Head right.
    43. Go to the table.
    44. Pick up the Crystal Skull.
    45. Continue right across the bridge.
    46. Take out the Beastmen.
    47. Proceed further right over the next bridge.
    48. Take a right at the end of the street.
    49. Continue down the alley to the end.
    50. Go through the small opening to the left.
    51. Use the Flying Bird Technique to scale up the wall to the balcony.
    52. Find the corpse.
    53. Get the Talisman of Rebirth.
    54. Jump down behind the corpse.
    55. Go to the end of the alley.
    56. Turn left.
    57. Find the container for the Herb of Spiritual Life.
    58. Return the way you came.
    59. Go back across the bridge.
    60. Continue over the next bridge.
    61. Take out the Half Dragon Demons.
    62. Proceed along your original path over the third bridge.
    63. Continue to the end of the street.
    64. Find the container with the Grains of Spiritual Life item.
    65. Switch to the Dragon Sword.
    66. Turn around.
    67. Go across the bridge.
    68. Take a right.
    69. Climb the stairs.
    70. Make your way to the fountain.
    71. Take out the Water Demons that attack as you approach the corpse near the fountain.
    72. TIP: Make sure you stay on solid ground while fighting the Water Demons. If no solid ground is available, run around in close circles to avoid attacks and close in on them.

    197. Keep swimming from the entrance to the far stairs.
    198. TIP: Stay underwater to avoid attacks from Undead Fish.
    199. Climb the stairs.
    200. Open the container at the top for the Yellow Essence.
    201. Head to the center of the columns.
    202. Stand on the broken stone pillar.
    203. Use the Howling Cannon and Dragon Sword to take out the Undead Fish to trigger a cutscene followed by the boss battle against Water Dragon.
      • Boss Battle: Water Dragon
    204. Try to stay on the platform and take Water Dragon out by hitting him in the head with the Howling Cannon.
    205. NOTE: If you are knocked off the platform, Undead Fish will join the fight and he will use his tentacles to stab you.
    206. In this case, dive underwater and attack his belly until you see the tentacles start flailing in the water.
    207. Return to the surface and run around the Water Dragon in a circle until the Tentacle Stab is over.
    208. Switch then to the Dragon Sword to take out the Undead Fish.
    209. You will need to repeat this process until the Water Dragon is finished.

  • Chapter 7: The Lycanthropes' Castle

    231. Go through the door to trigger another cutscene, followed by the Volf boss battle.

    232. Stay on the move as much as possible for this battle.
    233. Use Wind Run to escape his spins and charges.
    234. Wait for him to start a combo.
    235. Use Reverse Wind to move just outside his range.

    237. Attack at close range using Enma's Fang.
    238. Once you defeat Volf, a cutscene triggers and you receive the Eclipse Scythe.

  • Chapter 8: City of the Fallen Goddess

    18. Go into the opening in the wall created by the Demon Spawn.
    19. Head to the left fro mthe opening.
    20. Turn right into the building.
    21. Take out the Lesser Fiends.
    22. Continue to the far right side of the building.
    23. Get the Herb of Spiritual Life from the container.
    24. Turn around.
    25. Go to the right of the Earth Statue.
    26. Find the container in the corner.
    27. Get the Grains of Spiritual Life item.

    30. Head to the right of the statue.

    41. Return to the elevator for a Demon Spawn attack followed by a Lesser Fiend attack.
    42. Take them out to trigger a cutscene followed by a Half Dragon Demon attack.
    43. Take them out.
    44. Circle the building to the yellow light Muramasa Shop.
    45. Restock supplies.
    46. Turn around.
    47. Continue to the Earth Statue.

    49. Head to the left of the statue.
    50. Climb the stairs.
    51. Take out the Lesser Fiends.
    52. Make your way to the top of the stairs.

    54. Use Shadowless Footsteps to cross the wall to the right when you reach the gap.
    55. Travel to the center of the roof to trigger a cutscene followed by the Greater Fiend boss battle.

    56. Avoid Marbus's attacks.
    57. Take out the Lesser FIends.
    58. Stay close to Marbus while he is airborne.
    59. Use Reverse Wind to avoid his fireball attacks, Spiral Flight and Aerial Charge.
    60. Hit him with jumping attacks when he is still in the air, and combo attacks on the ground.
    61. TIP: The lower his health gauge, the less time he will spend on the ground.
    62. Take out the second group of Lesser FIends.
    63. Return to working on Marbus with combos.
    64. Defeat him to end the chapter.

  • Chapter 9: The Flying Fortress Daedalus

    • Crystal Skulls: 2
    • New Enemies: Light Artillery Ninja, Tactical Ninja, Executor, Mecha Soldier
    • Bosses: Genshin, Flaming Armadillo
    1. Go to the top of the fortress.
    2. Head immediately for cover behind the two blast shields.
    3. Use first person view of Fiend's Bane Bow.
    4. Take out the two gun turrets above the hangar doors.
    5. Take out the two gun turrets on the wing of each plane.
    6. Once all the batteries are down, go to the hangar door to trigger a cutscene followed by an Executor attack.
    7. Fight the Executors similar to fighting Tactical Fiends. They can also fly for short periods.
    8. When they are flying, use the Flying Swallow to take them out.
    9. Use any combo followed by the Reverse Wind to fight them.
    10. Move away quickly after striking as they explode when defeated.
    11. Use Flying Swallow to avoid their gunshots too.
    12. Head into the hangar once the Executors are defeated.
    13. Continue to the blue light Muramasa Shop at the end of the hangar to the left.
    14. Restock.
    15. Upgrade the Eclipse Scythe.
    16. Proceed to the right.
    17. Go through the door.
    18. Round the first corner to face off against some Tactical Ninja.
    19. Tactical Ninja are similar to Projectile Ninja.
    20. Use Reverse Wind to avoid attacks and close in on them.
    21. Stay on the move to avoid their kamikaze technique similar to those of Melee and Projectile Ninja.
    22. Proceed down the hall once they are defeated.
    23. Find the container with the Jewel of the Demon Seal.
    24. Return the way you came.
    25. Take the first right.
    26. Go to the next hall to face off against more Tactical Ninja.
    27. Take them out.
    28. Continue to the end of the hall.
    29. Save your game at the save point.
    30. Turn around.
    31. Enter through the door on the left.
    32. Go to the far left corner of the room.
    33. Find the Herb of Spiritual Life in the container.
    34. Head to the far right corner.
    35. Get the Devil's Way Mushroom from that container.
    36. Continue through the door on the right.
    37. Proceed into the hallway.
    38. Turn left and take out the Tactical Ninja.
    39. Move down the hallway to the dead end.
    40. Take out the Executors.
    41. Do not enter the room they came from.
    42. Go to the end of the hall.
    43. Get the Life of the Gods item fro the container.
    44. Go back to the door you passed.
    45. Take out the rest of the Executors.
    46. Stand on the lift to go down to the next floor and face the Mecha Soldier Fiend, an upgraded version of Executors.
    47. Use Enma's Fang, the Dragon's Sword Flying Swallow or the Eclipse Scythe to take them out quickly.
    48. Take out the second Mecha Soldier FIend.
    49. Head to the far end of the room.
    50. Take out the Tactical Ninja.
    51. Make your way to the Earth Statue.
    52. Save your game.
    53. Head over to the control console.
    54. Destroy the console.
    55. Get the Crystal Skull from the far left side.
    56. Take on the two Mecha Soldier Fiends and Tactical Ninja with Enma's Fang.
    57. Proceed to the far end of the room.
    58. Go through the door.
    59. Take out the Tactical Ninja.
    60. Go to the container on the left side of the room.
    61. Get the Life of the Gods item.
    62. Head right.
    63. Go through the corner door.
    64. Take out the Tactical Ninja.

    7. Continue down the street.
    8. Round the corner to take on the Heavy Artillery and Tactical Ninja.
    9. NOTE: Heavy Artillery Ninja is an upgraded Tactical Ninja that shoots several rockets at one time.
    10. Take cover whenever you see them to avoid attacks.
    11. Hit them with arrows in between their attacks.
    12. Take out the Heavy Artillery Ninja first.
    13. Then focus on the Tactical Ninja.
    14. Continue down the street until you catch sight of the remaining Heavy Artillery Ninja at the end of the street.

    46. Proceed to the Earth Statue.
    47. Save your game.
    48. Turn around.
    49. Take out the Half Dragon Demons.
    50. Continue down the bridge to the right.
    51. Take out the Melee, Ninpo and Projectile Ninja in the open area to trigger a cutscene followed by the boss battle against Obaba.

    52. Stay close to Obaba on either side or to her rear.
    53. Use Reverse Wind to avoid her long range projectile attack.

    55. Use Ayane's Violet Fireblade combo repeatedly until she starts to attack.

  • Chapter 12: Heart of Darkness

    47. Continue through the cave.

    49. Open the container with Blue Essence.
    50. Make your way to the crevice.
    51. Start on the left wall.
    52. Use the Invisible Path Technique to cross to the other side.
    53. Turn around.
    54. Find the Crystal Skull on the above platform.
    55. Use Shadowless Footsteps on the left wall to get to the Skull.
    56. Continue to the next acid pool.
    57. Take out the Spiny Fiends and Death Worms as before.

    59. Continue around the right side of the pool once the enemies are all dead.

    7. Upgrade the Bigoorian Flail.
    8. Restock.
    9. Head downstairs to the Earth Statue.
    10. Take out the Ninja Dogs.
    11. Save your game.
    12. Continue down the next flight of stairs.
    13. Take out more Ninja Dogs.
    14. Reach the courtyard at the bottom for a mid-boss battle with the Tengu Brothers.

    130. Continue into the center area.
    131. Find the corpse with Koshiamaru's Notebook.
    132. Proceed to the end of the area.
    133. Continue down the path to the left.
    134. Take out the first wave of Melee and Ninpo Ninja to trigger the Tengu Brother mid-boss battle.
      • Mid-Boss Battle: Tengu Brother
    135. Take out the Melee Ninja who accompany the Tengu Brother before facing him.
    136. Stay close to the Tengu Brother once they are dispatched.
    137. Use the Reverse Wind to avoid his melee combo.
    138. After his combo completes, return the favor with one of your own.
    139. Continue with the Reverse Wind until the Tengu Brother completes another combo.
    140. Complete this pattern until he has been defeated.
    141. Once defeated, his clone appears for round two.
    142. Fight him in exactly the same manner until he is defeated.
    143. Return to the entrance once all of the Melee Ninja and Tengu Brothers are defeated.
    144. Hug the right wall.
    145. Find the container with the Herb of Spiritual Life.
    146. Proceed straight ahead.
    147. Find the corpse with the Life of the Gods item.
    148. Continue into the middle of the area to the next corpse with the Devil's Way Mushroom.
    149. Go right to the next rock wall.
    150. Find yet another corpse with another Devil's Way Mushroom item.
    151. Continue through to the arch at the end.
    152. Find the container with the Grains of Spiritual Life item.
    153. Climb up the mountain to trigger a cutscene followed by the boss battle against Genshin.

    154. Use the True Dragon Sword.
    155. Circle around Genshin with the Reverse Wind Technique until his first attack.
    156. Block his attack.
    157. Counter with a short combo.
    158. If he counters, use Reverse Wind and wait for another attack.
    159. Do not use any aerial attacks.
    160. Continue this pattern until you defeat Genshin.

  • Chapter 15: Quickening Devastation

    1. Enter the blue light Muramasa Shop.
    2. Upgrade the Eclipse Scythe.
    3. Restock supplies.
    4. Switch to Enma's Fang.
    5. Proceed forward.
    6. Take out the Marionette Demons, some of the game's toughest enemies.
    7. TIP: You cannot block their projectile attack and it leaves you open to their charge attack.
    8. Use the Flying Swallow as much as possible to stay airborne and mobile and whittle down their numbers.
    9. Once their numbers have thinned, switch to Enma's Fang to finish them off.
    10. Proceed after they are all taken out.
    11. Take out the Demon Spawn and Half Dragon Demons further ahead.
    12. Continue down the path to the charred corpse on the left next to the burning tree.
    13. Examine the corpse for a Devil's Way Mushroom.
    14. Proceed down the path to the Earth Statue.
    15. Save your progress.
    16. Continue into the open area to trigger a cutscene followed by a mid-boss battle against Marbus.
      • Mid-Boss Battle: Marbus
    17. Take out the Lesser Fiends with the True Dragon Sword as quickly as possible.
    18. Switch to Enma's Fang.
    19. Stay close to Marbus while he is in the air.
    20. Use Reverse Wind to avoid his projectile attacks, Spiral Flight and aerial charge.
    21. Hit him with the Flying Swallow when he is stationary in mid-air.
    22. Take out the Lesser Fiends when they reappear.
    23. Continue the pattern to take him down.
    24. Go through the opening on the far side when the battle is finished.
    25. Take out the Demon Spawn.
    26. Continue on the path to the alcove on the left.
    27. Enter the alcove.
    28. Open the container for an Herb of Spiritual Life item.
    29. Continue from the alcove.
    30. Head left.
    31. Take out the Demon Spawn.
    32. Continue down the path.
    33. Fight the group of Marionette Demons.
    34. Take out the Half Dragon Demons.
    35. Once they are all taken out, head right to the Earth Statue.
    36. Get the container on the right with the Red Essence.
    37. Save your game.
    38. Continue to take out more Half Dragon Demons and Lesser Fiends.
    39. Keep going forward.
    40. Drop down to the lower path.
    41. Use Fiend's Bane Bow to take out one of the Undead Fish.
    42. Take out the rest with the True Dragon Sword.
    43. Run across the lava.
    44. Make your way to the middle rock formation to trigger a cutscene followed by the mid-boss battle with Evil Zedonius.
      • Mid-Boss Battle: Evil Zedonius
    45. TIP: This battle is very similar to the first except that you can be knocked into lava during this one.
    46. Take out the Water Demons that show up throughout the fight on a regular basis. Focus on them first whenever they are around.
    47. Stay close to Zedonius to avoid his long range attacks.
    48. Avoid these attacks with Wind Run or Reverse WInd.
    49. Move in circles around Zedonius with the Reverse WInd Technique.
    50. Use Broken Reincarnation combo over and over to deal the most damage possible in a short time and finish him off.
    51. Defeat Zedonius.
    52. Examine an object that appears to be the Heart of Malevolent Flame.
    53. Continue forward through the small opening.
    54. Make your way to another Earth Statue.
    55. Save your game.
    56. Find the container on the left.
    57. Open the container to obtain an Herb of Spiritual Life.
    58. Continue into the clearing.
    59. Find the yellow light Muramasa Shop.
    60. Restock.
    61. Proceed through the forest.
    62. Take out the Undead Fish with the Fiend's Bane Bow and True Dragon Sword.
    63. Continue through the forest.
    64. Take out the Undead Fish that approach from behind the same way.
    65. Continue through the left side of the forest.
    66. About halfway down, get the Herb of Spiritual Life from the corpse.
    67. Keep going along the left side.
    68. Find the container near the end of the forest.
    69. Get the Herb of Spiritual Life.
    70. Take the path at the end of the forest to trigger a cutscene followed by a boss battle against the Beastmen leader: Volf.
      • Boss Battle: Volf
    71. The boss battle begins with your character circled by a group of Centaurs.
    72. Use the Art of Inferno ninpo to handle them. This should be easy with a few Devil's Way Mushrooms.
    73. Target three Centaurs per ninpo to defeat them with five attacks or less.
    74. Volf appears once the Centaurs are defeated.
    75. Approach him directly.
    76. Use the Broken Reincarnation combo with Enma's Fang to inflict the greatest damage.
    77. It should take four or five attacks to take him down.

  • Chapter 16: The Underworld Abyss

    • Items: Heart of Bestial Storm
    • Bosses: Tengu Brothers, Evil Alexei
    1. Examine Volf's body to obtain the Heart of Bestial Storm.
    2. Continue ahead on the path.
    3. Find the blue light Muramasa Shop on the left.
    4. Upgrade one of your weapons.
    5. Restock everything you can.
    6. Continue up the path.
    7. Climb the stairs to trigger a cutscene.
    8. Take down the Lesser Fiends that appear after the cutscene.
    9. Continue down the path.
    10. Go through the door at the end.
    11. Take out the Marionette Demons and Chainsaw Bazooka Zombies in the hall.
    12. Continue to the next door to trigger another cutscene.
    13. Go through the door.
    14. Take out the Melee Ninja to trigger a mid-boss battle with the Tengu Brothers.
      • Mid-Boss Battle: Tengu Brothers
    15. TIP: This battle is exactly the same as the last Tengu Brothers battle with the exception of a smaller arena, making it difficult to focus on one brother at a time.
    16. Stay close to whichever brother you are focused on so he cannot use projectile attacks.
    17. Use Reverse Wind to avoid combos and unblockable throw.
    18. Once combos are finished, attack with the True Dragon Sword to finish him off and resume the process with the second brother.
    19. When the battle is finished, continue through the next door.
    20. Take out the Melee Ninja.
    21. Examine the corpse on the right in the last hall.
    22. Get the Herb of Spiritual Life.
    23. Proceed to the Earth Statue.
    24. Save your game to trigger a spawn of Melee and Ninpo Ninja.
    25. Take them out.
    26. Head right down the next hall.
    27. Equip the Kusari-gama.
    28. Continue through the opening at the end of the hall.
    29. Take out the Bone Scorpions with Ultimate Guidance.
    30. Open the container near the entrance for an Herb of Spiritual Life.
    31. Proceed to the far end of the room.
    32. Get the Grains of Spiritual Life from the container on the left.
    33. Save your game.
    34. TIP: The container on the right contains Undead Fish.
    35. Turn around.
    36. Continue through the opening on the right.
    37. Proceed up the ramp.
    38. Continue to the opposite end of the hall.
    39. Go through the next opening.
    40. NOTE: All of the sacks in this area with enemies must be destroyed before you can continue.
    41. Head left.
    42. Pass the first sack.
    43. Take out the Melee Ninja in the next sack on the right.
    44. Continue past the remaining sacks to the corpse on the right.
    45. Get the Herb of Spiritual Life.
    46. Turn around.
    47. Head left.
    48. Go right.
    49. Break the sack ahead for another corpse with a Devil's Way Mushroom item.
    50. Go back.
    51. Circle around to the left.
    52. Destroy another empty sack.
    53. Take the left path to dispose of another empty sack.
    54. Slide down the small hill to the lower level.
    55. Take out the second sack in front of you with Melee Ninja.
    56. Go down the next small hill to another hallway.
    57. Take out the first and fourth sacks with Melee Ninja.
    58. Take out the last sack with a Shadow Ninja Rasetsu.
    59. Continue down the hallway.
    60. Cind the container for a Grains of Spiritual Life item.
    61. Head to the save point and save your game.
    62. Head in the opposite direction.
    63. Pass the container.
    64. Continue to the opening on the right.
    65. Move left in the open area.
    66. Find the container against the wall.
    67. Get Red Essence from the container.
    68. Continue along the wall to the next container with an Herb of Spiritual Life.
    69. Follow the wall to the end.
    70. Find the corpse with another Herb of Spiritual Life.
    71. Jump to the bottom to trigger a cutscene followed by the Evil Alexei boss battle.
      • Boss Battle: Evil Alexei
    72. NOTE: Alexei is at full power for this fight.
    73. Stay close to Alexei to prevent him from using projectile attacks, long range throw or Lightning Strike.
    74. Use the Broken Reincarnation combo with Enma's Fang continuously.
    75. Use Reverse Wind to move in circles around him.
    76. When he is in the air, bring him down with Flying Swallow.
    77. Keep at him until he is defeated.

  • Chapter 17: Poisoned Blood

    • Items: Heart of Azure Lightning, Heart of Crimson Blood
    • Weapons: Blade of the Archfiend
    • Bosses: Evil Genshin, Evil Elizebet, Dagra Dai, Archfiend
    1. Examine the object in front of you to get the Heart of Azure Lightning.
    2. Go through the opening at the end of the path.
    3. NOTE: If you turn around at this point and shoot Sonia, she dies and the game is over.
    4. Take out the Marionette Demons with Enma's Fang.
    5. Examine the corpse on the right for the Devil's Way Mushroom.
    6. Proceed through the next opening.
    7. Get to the yellow light Muramasa Shop on the left.
    8. Replenish supplies.
    9. Continue down the hall through the next opening.
    10. Take out the Melee and Ninpo Ninja in the next area.
    11. Return to the Muramasa Shop to restock.
    12. Find the corpse on your right with the Devil's Way Mushroom.
    13. Proceed to the end of the hall.
    14. Go through the opening to the Earth Statue.
    15. Save your game.
    16. Continue left.
    17. NOTE: A pool of blood water is on either side of the bone pathway in front of you.
    18. Continue forward to spawn some Blood Eels.
    19. Switch to the Howling Cannon.
    20. Go back to the entrance.
    21. Shoot from there to take them out to avoid an attack.
    22. Continue down the path once they are disposed of.
    23. Run across the blood water to the opposite side.
    24. Head to the right of the door.
    25. Find the corpse.
    26. Get the Herb of Spiritual Life.
    27. Go to the container on the opposite side.
    28. Get the Red Essence.
    29. Head to the door in the middle.
    30. Enter the middle of the next room to trigger a cutscene followed by a mid-boss battle against Genshin.
      • Mid-Boss Battle: Evil Genshin
    31. NOTE: This fourth battle against Genshin is similar to the first three and employs the same strategy.
    32. Use Reverse Wind to circle Genshin until his first attack.
    33. Block his attack.
    34. Counter with a Broken Reincarnation combo.
    35. Stay moving during his combos so he doesn't use an Izuna Drop in the midst of his combo.
    36. Do not use aerial attacks.
    37. Continue this pattern until he is finished.
    38. Obtain the Blade of the Archfiend after Genshin's defeat. Get ready for the battle against Elizebet.
      • Mid-Boss Battle: Evil Elizebet
    39. NOTE: This battle is identical to the previous fight with Elizebet.
    40. Use the Blade of the Archfiend and get as close to her as possible.
    41. Wait for her to initiate a combo.
    42. Block the first few attacks.
    43. When she shifts into a triple Tail Stab, use Furious WInd to avoid the attack.
    44. Then use a combo in return.
    45. Once she is defeated, continue to the the object near the end of the room on the right.
    46. Examine it to get the Heart of Crimson Blood.
    47. Head to the large glowing sphere at the end of the room.
    48. Take outthe Melee and Ninpo Ninja to trigger a cutscene that ends in a room with an Earth Statue and a yellow light Muramasa Shop.
    49. Restock.
    50. Save your progress.
    51. Open the container between the Earth Statue and Muramasa Shop to get the Herb of Spiritual Life.
    52. Continue to the door at the end of the room to trigger a cutscene followed by a mid-boss battle with Dagra Dai, another mid-boss battle against the weaker Archfiend, and the final boss battle against the fully mature Archfiend.
      • Mid-Boss Battle: Dagra Dai
    53. Take out the Demon Spawn with an Art of the Inferno ninpo.
    54. Focus on Dagra Dai until they respawn.
    55. Dodge his Lightning Bolt with a continuous jump in one direction.
    56. When Dagra Dai floats in the air, keep your distance to avoid Tentacle Stab.
    57. Use Reverse Wind to avoid melee combo attacks.
    58. Counter with the Broken Reincarnation Combo.
    59. After he is disposed of, head to the container at the bottom of the path for an Herb of Spiritual Life.
    60. Return up the path for another cutscene followed by a first and second battle against Archfiend.
      • Mid-Boss Battle: Archfiend--Immature
    61. Use the Fiend's Bane Bow to take out the Archfiend.
    62. Aim at his head or the glowing orb in the center of his body.
    63. His scream indicates the arrival of Mini Fiends.
    64. Avoid them with the Reverse Wind.
    65. Make sure you defeat them all before using the Fiend's Bane Bow on the Archfiend.
    66. When he lowers his head, he is about to use the Demon Beam.
    67. Wait until his head is lowered, then use Reverse Wind to move to the opposite side and avoid the attack.
    68. Between his attacks, go into first person view and shoot an arrow at his head.
    69. When his health declines to about 50%, he climbs higher into the cave.
    70. Use Flying Bird to get to his new location.
    71. You may need to climb from ledge to ledge to keep after him.
    72. Pick up the Herb of Spiritual Life from the container along the way.
    73. Defeat the Archfiend to trigger a cutscene and the final boss battle.
      • Boss Battle: Archfiend
    74. TIP: Stay on the left side of the screen for an easy fight. The Demon Beam will not be able to get you there.
    75. Start the battle by running to the far left.
    76. Attack Archfiend's hand with the Broken Reincarnation combo.
    77. Continue attacking until Archfiend uses the Flame Spire.
    78. Avoid the Flame Spire.
    79. Resume attacking in this way until the Archfiend succumbs.
    80. Once you defeat the Archfiend, you have successfully beaten Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2. Congratulations!
