The Tests of Valor in Ninja Gaiden II are optional mini-games in which the protagonist (Ryu Hayabusa) must defeat approximately fifty characters without getting killed. In finding the Tests of Valor, it helps to possess the Rod of Trials. The majority of the tests are optional, but provide rewards if passed. Some of the rewards include the Lives of a Thousand Gods, Life of the Gods, or another similar talisman.
Background
Ninja Gaiden II is an action-adventure game for the the Xbox 360. It is the continuation of the series, which first premiered on the Nintendo Entertainment System but then resurfaced to the Xbox 360 after nearly 10 years. Although the game was made available for sale on June 3, 2008, a person called “ACE” leaked the game to several torrent sites.
Achievements
Players can earn Xbox achievement points based on purifying the site during a Test of Valor. Each achievement is 15 points:

- Two of black: The second Test of Valor
- Three of blue: The third Test of Valor
- Four of green: The fourth Test of Valor
- Five of yellow: The fifth Test of Valor
