"Even when a game is as gleefully stupid as possible, developers are sometimes smart enough to leave room for the player to make it even more so. It's almost inspiring. Case in point: Ninja Blade."—EurogamerEurogamer: Ninja Blade Review

"The game offers a smooth playing experience with only some minor moments of screen tearing rearing its head from time to time. The animation is good, sword play is solid and the cinematic direction is of a high standard. However, some camera angles can be problematic at times especially when performing wall runs moves."—MSXbox WorldMS Xbox World: Ninja Blade Review

"Let’s get one thing straight: Ninja Blade is not Ninja Gaiden. What it is, though, is a relatively enjoyable, simple action game that pretends to have depth but really only offers high octane thrills and some of the biggest and most ridiculous bosses you’ll see on the 360."—X360 MagazineX360 Magazine: Ninja Blade Review (April 2, 2009)

  • About the Game

Developer From Software has labeled Ninja Blade a "cinematic action game", as much of the gameplay is similar to a typical hack n' slash action title while still employing a timed-button-press system to allow the player to actively participate in the more extravagant sequences.

The gameplay in Ninja Blade is similar to titles such as those in the Devil May Cry and God of War series'. The player takes control of Ken, a ninja sent to investigate and eliminate the strange creatures that seem to have taken over the city of Tokyo.

Along the way, Ken will fight a whole range of enemies, big and small. From infected citizens of the city to giant boss characters, Ken must defeat them all in order to get to the bottom of the infection that is plaguing the city and save the world.Xbox.com: Ninja Blade
