This is Part 4 of our complete Ninja Blade walkthrough, featuring Mission 004.

Mission.004
- Before starting this level, we upgraded the Oni-Slayer Blade and the Cyclone Shuriken.
- The mission begins on a mounted turret. Stick with the machine gun and blast the bats that approach from the front of the plane. Reload between waves.
- Switch to missiles when you see the armored enemies and try to shoot as many as you can.
- A jet will approach. Slightly below it and to your left, you'll see a helicopter. Start shooting it with missiles.
- When you hear a faint buzzing sound, look for inbound missiles coming from the helicopter. Shoot them down, then keep hitting the chopper with missiles. Repeat this until the chopper goes down.
- Now, look back at the plane and you'll see three heads of the Fire Hydra. If you go into Ninja Vision, you'll see vulnerable spots on each of it's heads. Start hitting these areas with missiles.
- When you see fireballs emerge from the heads, shoot them with your machine gun, then switch back to your missiles and keep firing. Deplete most of the Hydra's energy and a Quick Time Event will begin.
- Press A to jump, then Right, Left, Right, X, Y, Right and Up. Then, tap Y repeatedly to land on the plane's wing.
- Now, you'll have to protect the plane's wing from carriers. Use the sword to attack each enemies.HINT: You can kill them instantly with a well-aimed X attack while dashing. If you miss, just follow up with a regular combo.
- Once you're told to head to the left wing, go into the door on the plane.
- SHINOBI MOJI: Kill the two carriers inside the plane, then break open all the crates. The Moji is located in this small inside area. If you've collected the last three Moji, you'll get the "Almost There" Achievement here.
- EMBLEM: The "Centipede" Emblem is also located here. Make sure to grab it before heading out to the left wing.
- The only difference in defending this wing is the addition of human-like carriers, but your main priority is still to kill the winged carriers. Make them a priority, and only fight the human-like carriers if they're in your way.
- Now, you have to go back to the right wing. The same strategy as before applies. Go for the winged carriers first. If you have to fight the larger enemies, use the Stonerender to destroy their shields, then use the blade.
- After a brief encounter with Ken's father, the Hydra Head will drop onto the plane. Your upgraded Cyclone Shuriken will come in handy here as you work to extinguish all the flames on the wing.
- Turn to face the tip of the wing and put out the flames there, then turn around and clear a path through the main part of the plane.
- When prompted to go to the other side, run through and put out the flames in front of you.
- Carriers will appear on his wing. Use the dash followed by regular attack to kill them quickly.
- Now, you'll have to return to the other wing. Run through and dash to the top of the wing. Use the dash and attack strategy to beat the first few carriers, then use the same method on the remaining enemies, "bouncing" between each attack with a quick dash followed by a quick slice. If you do this accurately, you can clear out the group with minimal damage.
- A Quick Time Event will occur after all the enemies are defeated. Press Up, Endure with B, A, A and A.
- Use your twin knives to clear out the nearby bats and tap B with Cyclone Shuriken to clear the nearby flames.
- Once you've got some room, stand as close to the camera as you can and throw Cyclone Shuriken to clear the rest of the flames.
- Switch to Flame Shuriken. Keep standing in the center of the plane, as far from the Hydra as you can be.
- Toss Flame Shuriken before the Hydra lunges, then use the Stonerender after the lunge for more damage.
- Repeat this until the Hydra's energy is depleted, then approach its mouth and press A to start the Todome.
- Press A, X, Right, Up, Y and Y. After this, press A to escape danger.
- OUTFIT: Once inside the plane, start smashing nearby crates to maintain altitude. In one of the first crates on your left lies the "Clown" outfit.
- The dash and regular attack method works well against the initial enemies. Once you've cleared most of them out, use the Stonerender to break crates and defeat any remaining foes.
- HEALTH PIECE: This level's Health Piece is further up, in some crates on the right side.
- The Hydra will appear again after you've destroyed all the crates. Press Up, then Endure to survive.
- You'll now have to defeat a Slime Chopper on foot. Block its machine gun fire by holding LT.
- Arm your sword and face the chopper. Reflect its missiles by pressing X at just the right time. The timing is tricky, but if you swing just as the missiles are lined up with the front side of the wing, you should be able to knock them back.
- After a couple of successful reflections, the chopper will land on the wing. Quickly dash over to it and hit it with your blade.
- When the chopper flies away again, you'll see it first get close to the wing. Stand right in front of the large cannon coming from the front and swing with your sword. Get a couple of hits this way, then block its machine gun fire.
- Now, repeat the cycle of reflecting missiles and hitting the chopper when it gets close. Deplete its energy and Slime Chopper B will appear.
- Use the same strategy to defeat this enemy.
- Fire Hydra will appear once again, this time flanked by winged carriers. Stay far away from it and on the center of the wing, as you did in the last confrontation.
- Toss Flame Shuriken in the general direction of the Hydra to clear out many of the carriers while dealing damage to the boss. After doing enough damage, the Thunder Hydra Core will appear.
- Use the dash followed by X attack to quickly defeat the winged carriers on the wing, then, retreat.
- Arm your Thunder Shuriken and hit the leftmost Hydra head at every opportunity. Dodge projectiles by moving right and left.
- After a few successful hits, the left head will become incapacitated. Now, focus on the right head.
- On occasion, this enemy will launch a flaming boulder -- not to be confused with the smaller flames that it will periodically throw. Use your sword to knock this back at the enemy, but only strike once, otherwise your extra attacks will destroy it.
- After this, you can focus on the largest head. Dodge its wind attacks until it tosses a ball of electricity.
- Hit the electric ball, and the Hydra will hit it back. Return the projectile a couple more times to trigger a Quick Time Event.
- Follow the button prompts until you reach the roof of the plane.
- Defeating the boss here is easier than it looks. Immediately arm your Thunder Shuriken and tap B while facing forward, then retreat.
- The enemy's projectiles will explode when they hit the electric barriers, causing damage. Reinforce the barrier with more Thunder Shuriken after a couple of projectiles hit.
- Repeat this cycle until the enemy's energy is depleted, then approach it and press A to start the Todome.
- Press X, then Up. Tap A repeatedly, press X, then tap X repeatedly. Endure according to the button prompt, then tap B several times and hit Y to finish the Todome.
- You still have to land the plane. Press A, A, Endure, A and Endure and X.
- Press A to use the wire, then Endure. Press Y, Endure and Y once more to land the plane, finishing the mission.
