Nini the Swallow

Nini the Swallow is one of the five Fuwa, the official mascots of the 2008 Beijing Olympics. She represents the traditional element of Air. Nini is based on the swallow, a popular bird in Chinese culture. Her headdress is meant to resemble the style of traditional kites inspired by the swallow.Official Site: Nini - Sources of Inspiration She represents the green Olympic Ring, and is the mascot of gymnastic events.
