Nina Reiser, a 31-year-old Oakland, California woman, was killed by her estranged husband Hans Reiser on September 3, 2006. Hans confessed to killing Nina after the two had gotten into a hearted argument regarding the custody of the couple's children. He was found guilty in April 2008 of first-degree murder.
