  • AdventureFantasy movie, Nim's Island, stars Abigail Breslin, who was nominated for a Best Supporting Actress Academy Award for her role in Little Miss Sunshine, as Nim, who lives on a deserted island with her father, Jack Rusoe (Gerard Butler). Nim spends her days on imagined adventures in the same style as a character from her favorite books, but when her father disappears, she enlists the help of agoraphobic author, Alex Rover (Jodie Foster), to find him.

    The film, based on the book of the same title by Wendy Orr, features the music of award-winning composer Patrick Doyle, and was shot on Hinchinbrook Island in Queensland, Australia.
