Buying Guide
The entire line of Nikon digital SLR cameras have received mostly positive reviews. The least expensive model, the D40 is recommended by Photo.net for both student use as well as amateur photographers. Moving up in the line is the D80, which was selected for Editor's Choice by PC Magazine, giving it four and a half out of five stars. The model at the high end of the line is the D3, designed specifically for professional use. The D3 retails upwards of $4999, offering 12.1 megapixels and earning rave reviews from The Imaging Resource. The entire Nikon D line was selected for the J.D. Power and Associates customer satisfaction award in 2007. -
