Features
The D300 features a 12.3 megapixel CMOS sensor utilizing Nikon's EXPEED image processing technology to improve quality and speed of operations. A three inch VGA screen allows for 170 degree wide angle viewing. The model also incorporates the Scene Recognition System to adjust for lighting conditions and reduce noise at ISO levels between 200 and 3200. Additionally, the D300 comes with an automatic cleaning system as well as D-Lighting to improve exposures in all lighting situations.
Reviews
The Nikon D series earned the highest rating by J.D. Power and Associates in the 2007 camera satisfaction survey. CNET was impressed with the exceptional quality, structure and amount of features, but thought the D300 was a bit pricey. Engadget called the D300 tough to beat with impressive quality for the price.
