Hagman began playing junior hockey in his native
Finland at age 15, in
1995. He was drafted 70th overall by the
Florida Panthers in the
1999 NHL Draft. He continued to play in Finland for several seasons before making his NHL debut with the Panthers in
2001. In
2002 he represented Finland in his first
Olympics. He returned to the Panthers for just over two seasons before he was waived and picked up by the
Dallas Stars on
December 12,
2005. Hagman returned to the Olympics in
2006, earning the silver medal with Team Finland. Starting in the 2006-
07 regular season, Hagman has played every regular season game with the Stars.
