• Nikita, also known as La Femme Nikita, is a French movie about Nikita Taylor (Anne Parillaud), a convicted heroin addict, who is given a chance at freedom in exchange for becoming a trained assassin for a top secret agency.

But once she graduates from her training and begins her life in Paris as a secret assassin, she falls in love, and struggles to maintain a normal life with her boyfriend while keeping her dangerous life as a killer hidden from him.

Nikita was nominated for nine César Awards, with Anne Parillaud winning the Best Actress category.

A 1993 American remake called Point of No Return, starring Bridget Fonda, Gabriel Byrne and Dermot Mulroney received poor reviews and a lukewarm reception at the box office.
