History of Nike
Nike was originally a company called Blue Ribbon Sports in 1964, founded by Bill Bowerman and Philip Knight. A little over ten years later their small company became Nike in 1978. What first began as a small retail store selling a soccer cleat shoe with a new swoosh design named Nike, soon became a new company signing athletes to sponsor their shoes. Their headquarters located in Portland, Oregon now has a $16 billion dollar revenue and is considered the world's leading supplier of athletic footwear.
