On its opening weekend in December, 2006, the film grossed $30.8 million. The museum the story was based on claimed it had a 20% increase in visitors following the release of the film. 20th Century Fox is working on the sequel Night at the Museum 2: Escape from the Smithsonian, set to be released on May 22, 2009. -
Plot Overview
