  • NHL Career

    Havelid was drafted 83rd overall in the 1999 NHL draft by the Anaheim Ducks. After two games with the Ducks' American Hockey League affiliate, the Cincinnati Mighty Ducks, Havelid made his NHL debut. Havelid had a standout season in 2002-2003, recording 11 goals, 22 assists and 30 penalty minutes, playing in all 82 regular season games with the Ducks. He continued to play with the Anaheim Ducks until June 26, 2004, when he was traded to the Atlanta Thrashers. Havelid played in Sweden for one season during the 2004-2005 NHL lockout before making his Thrashers debut. Havelid saw another exceptional season in 2006-2006, scoring four goals, 28 assists and recording 48 penalty minutes in 82 regular season games.
