Nickel Creek is a Grammy Award winning Bluegrass and Acoustic music trio from San Diego, California that have a found a great deal of critical and commercial success in both the mainstream and Country music communities. Formed in 1989, when Mandolin player Chris Thile, Guitar player Sean Watkins and Fiddle player Sara Watkins were still children, the band has gone on to release five highly acclaimed albums and play some of the largest Bluegrass festivals in the world.
