Nick Schuyler is a former football player at University of South Florida who was reported missing on March 1, 2009, after he did not return from a fishing trip he and three other men started the day before. The other men NFL players, Marquis Cooper and Corey Smith, and former South Florida Bulls football player Will Bleakley, died. Schuyler wrote a book about the boating accident together with New York Times writer Jere Longman. The book, Not Without Hope, was released on March 3, 2010. Some, including the family of Marquis Cooper, have criticized his decision to write a book about the incident. Schuyler appeared on The Oprah Winfrey Show on March 4, 2010 to discuss the accident, the book and his decision to write it. They were reported missing on March 1, 2009.
