Nick Drake

Nick Drake is an English Singer-Songwriter who recorded three influential albums, Five Leaves Left, Bryter Layter and Pink Moon, before his death in 1974.

In 1968 Drake was introduced to producer Joe Boyd. Boyd has previously worked with Fairport Convention and The Incredible String Band.

Drake released his debut, Five Leave Left a year later at the age of 20. He would go on to release two more albums, Bryter Layter and Pink Moon, before his death caused by an overdose of antidepressants in 1974.

Drake suffered from chronic depression and rarely performed live or gave interviews during his lifetime. As a result he never gained much commercial success.
