Nick Collison 2009-10 Season
Collison started in the lowest number of games for the Oklahoma City Thunder during the 2009-2010 season than at any previous point in his career with the team, making the opening line-up for just two games. Overall, he appeared in 72 games and logged a playing time average of 20.9 minutes per game, bringing him back to the levels of his first two seasons with the Thunder in 2003-2004 and 2004-2005.
At the same time, his role in 2009-2010 was to primarily work the boards at both ends of the hardwood, with Collison ranking high as an NBA player in the categories of offensive rebounds per 48 minutes (#17) and defensive blocks per 48 minutes (#39). His season high in the latter category came during a January 10th, 2010 match against the San Antonio Spurs, when he managed a half-dozen blocks.
