Nick and Norah's Infinite Playlist is a 2008 comedy film directed by Peter Sollett. It is based on the novel by Rachel Cohn and David Levithan.
Plot Summary

Awkward teenager Nick (Michael Cera) sees his old girlfriend at his band's latest gig. To cover up his embarassment, a strange girl (Kat Dennings) pretends to be his girlfriend for the night. The only thing they share is a common interest in music, which leads to an all-night search to find a legendary band's secret show.
