Harvard University researchers designed a game based upon a Game Theory principle, the Prisoner's Dilemma, wherein two subjects can choose to help each other or help only themselves advance. The Harvard study concluded that nice guys finish first after subjects who chose not to punish their opponent progressed further than those who consistently punished opponents.
