    In addition to his opposition towards neo-liberalism and free trade, Duarte campaigned on promises of reducing government corruption and nationwide poverty.   • Last Colorado Administration

    Duarte was not only the 11th, but also the last consecutive Colorado President. He officially endorsed Blanca Ovelar, a fellow member of the Colorado Party, in her 2008 presidential campaign. Her loss to Fernando Luca, marked the end of 61 years of Colorado government.
