  Niagara Falls, New York is actually a small city that is part of the Buffalo-Niagara Falls Metropolitan area. The American Falls can be seen best by the Prospect Point Observation Tower in Prospect Point Park. The Maid of the Mist is a tour boat that runs throughout the say, giving guides and facts on the falls in general. Expect to get wet on your ride; rain gear is provided.

  The Canadian side offers "spectacular views" of the falls. There are underground tunnels, the "Journey Behind the Falls," that leads you to experience the feeling of being beneath the waterfall. There are no guided tours through here, but there are stations with information. There is an observation area where visitors can take some of the best pictures of the falls, as well as experience the feeling of the spraying water; rain gear is provided. The Skylon Tower is the highest point for viewing the falls and even has a view of Toronto in the distance. Niagara Falls, Ontario is, with out a doubt, the best viewing place for the falls in general.
