In the second month of the 2008 National Hockey League season, we saw a few trades and many changes in front office staff of teams. Most notably, general manager Brian Burke parted ways with the Anaheim Ducks and later signed with the Toronto Maple Leafs and Tampa Bay Lightning head coach Barry Melrose was fired and replaced with Rick Tocchet.
