With only one more week of "byes", the NFL Week 9 results will be very telling in the race to the Super Bowl. Week 9 has six teams with byes: Denver, Jacksonville, San Francisco, St. Louis, Tennessee, and Washington.

Week 9 is the half-way point of the season, and it's time to get serious. For those teams that have already had their bye weeks, they know what they have to do. This is not the time for the top teams to get complacent. They will have to play even harder to stay at the top and the mediocre teams have to get it in gear and work hard to advance up that ladder towards the playoffs and the Super Bowl.
