2008 Playoff Race
With the season half over, each win became more important to teams struggling to make the playoffs. With Dallas' loss to the Giants, Philadelphia moved into third place in the competitive NFC East. Arizona had a three-game lead in the NFC West, as the other teams in the division were all sitting at 2-6.There was a three-way tied for the lead in the AFC East, with Buffalo, New England and the New York Jets all at 5-3. Miami was right on their heels at 4-4 and riding a two-game winning streak. The Colts stayed alive in the wild-card hunt with a win over the Patriots. They are back to .500, though the Titans have the AFC South firmly in-hand with a perfect 8-0 record.
