NFL Week 14

NFL Week 14 generally falls in the month of December during the regular NFL season. At this point, the top seeds are making their playoff run and trying to win games to determine who will have home field advantage during the postseason. Teams that are at the top of their division may not play their starters in regular season games after this week.

For the upcoming 2010 NFL season, there will be a few key matchups in week 14, particularly in inter-division play. The Colts and the Titans, both in the AFC South, will square off as will the NFC South Falcons and Panthers.The Steelers and the Bengals will play in the AFC North while the Packers and the Lions will meet up in the NFC North. As the final four-week stretch of the season began, the week began with another Thursday Night Football encounter between AFC West rivals from California as the Oakland Raiders visited the San Diego Chargers. Sunday games included a doubleheader from FOX, and included the first-ever regular season game played in Canada. The Buffalo Bills hosted the Miami Dolphins at nearby Rogers Centre in Toronto. The scheduled Sunday Night Football game had the Seattle Seahawks taking on the New England Patriots, and the Monday Night game featured the Tampa Bay Buccaneers visiting the Carolina Panthers.
