During the second month of the 2008 National Football League season, October, numerous players were suspended, injured and released. A handful of players were busted for illegal substances, both on and off the field, including possession of marijuana, cocaine and positive tests for diuretics. Players also saw a unique coaching tactic as San Francisco 49ers coach Mike Singletary dropped his pants during his half time speech.
