In the 2010 NFL Draft, the St. Louis Rams had the first-overall selection after finishing the 2009 NFL season with the last-place record and selected Heisman Trophy winning quarterback San Bradford. The Detroit Lions, who selected first at the 2009 NFL Draft, selected second, taking highly rated defensive tackle Ndamukong Suh. The New Orleans Saints had the final pick in the first round after they won Super Bowl XLIV on February 7, 2010.
