- From 1970-1977, there were only eight teams in the playoffs
- From 1970-1974, teams rotated home games and weren't seeded by W-L record
- The two winners in each conference from NFL Wild Card Weekend advance to play the top two seeds.
- No team to start 0-3 has ever reached the divisional playoff round

The NFL Divisional Weekend is the second round of the NFL Playoffs. It features four games: two on Saturday, and two on Sunday. The winners advance to play in the NFL Championship Games.
The NFL Divisional Weekend was played on January 10 and 11, 2009. There were two games on Saturday and two on Sunday, with CBS and FOX each broadcasting one game each day.

- New England Patriots defeated Jacksonville Jaguars 31-20
- San Diego Chargers defeated Indianapolis Colts 28-24
- New York Giants defeated Dallas Cowboys 21-17
