NFL Championship Games

Played in the third round of the NFL Playoffs, the NFL Championship Game weekend includes two games played on the same day, the AFC Championship Game and the NFC Championship Game. In the 2010-11 NFL Playoffs, the championship games are played on Sunday, January 23, 2011. The 2011 NFC Championship Game opens the day at 3:00 p.m. EST airing on FOX and featuring the Chicago Bears hosting the Green Bay Packers. The 2011 AFC Championship Game follows at 6:30 p.m. EST on CBS and features the Pittsburgh Steelers hosting the New York Jets. 2008 and 2009 NFL Championship Games

In the 2009 season, the Conference Championship Games were played on January 24, 2010. The New Orleans Saints defeated the Minnesota Vikings 31-28 in overtime in the NFC Championship Game. The NFL Championship Games were played on January 18, 2009. The Arizona Cardinals defeated Philadelphia Eagles 32-25 for the AFC title at 3:00 p.m. EST and the Pittsburgh Steelers topped the Baltimore Ravens 23-14 at 6:30 p.m. EST for the NFC championship.
