The NFL Championship Game Weekend determines the National Football League teams that win each of the AFC and NFL Conference Championships. The two conference champions will go on to play in the Super Bowl for the NFL Championship.
The NFL Championship Games were played on January 18, 2009. The Arizona Cardinals defeated Philadelphia Eagles 32-25 for the AFC title at 3:00 p.m. EST and the Pittsburgh Steelers topped the Baltimore Ravens 23-14 at 6:30 p.m. EST for the NFC championship.
