Online computer components retailer, Newegg, announced on April 21, 2008 that they are launching a new service dubbed Neweggmall.com.
Who it's for
According to Neweggmall.com's About Us page, they are going to sell other products that you may need such as apparel and auto parts. This service is primarily for smaller retailers that wish to sell their products through a reputable website instead of participating in a live, auction-type website such as eBay.How Newegg profits
When a retailer sells one of their products, Newegg will automatically take out a small revenue from the sale of the item, similar to what Amazon.com has in place. Depending on the item and the sale price, the percent that Newegg will take is reportedly 6-15%.When they launch
The service will supposedly launch on May 27th, and is currently in beta until May 27th.Other services
Newegg Inc. also hosts many other services, including the popular Newegg.com, which sells computer components and other electronic devices. In addition, they also host the EggXpert.com Forums, which allows people to post product feedback on products that are sold at Newegg.com.-
