  • Rip Tides

    Rip tides are strong currents that pull swimmers away from the shore and out to sea. Rip tides are very dangerous, even for strong swimmers, but are particularly deadly to children and the elderly.     1. Do not fight against the current
    2. Swim parallel to the shore until the tug of the riptide dissipates
    3. Get the attention of a lifeguard
    4. If safe to do so, swim towards shore with the waves
