New York I Love You is the follow-up to the 2006 anthology film Paris Je T'aime. It will consist of 20 5-minute short films about romance in New York City from various directors. One segment was set to star Natalie Portman and Hasidic Jew Abe Karpen, but Karpen dropped out of the film following a backlash in the Hasidic community, which rejects most forms of mainstream American entertainment. It has been rumored that Woody Allen and Zach Braff may be directing shorts for the film as well, though neither appears on the IMDb roster of directors. Another installment in the so-called "Cities of Love" series, Shanghai I Love You, is planned for release in 2010.

watched 'New York, I Love You'- a casting coup made up of a series of short stories. it had great moments but some segments were confusing.
